Pharmacy Tech at Westchester Medical Center – Kingston, New York

Assists the Director of Pharmacy and Staff Pharmacists in daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with management of inventory, i.e., stocking, receiving.
• Accurately fill patient cassettes from cart fill list.
• Pick up physicians orders and deliver medications and supplies on a routine basis.
• Prepare IV admixture according to departmental policy and procedure.
• Enter patient charges and credit into hospital data system on a daily basis.
• Perform monthly inspections for all areas of the hospital where medications are stored.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy goals and participate in reaching these goals.
• Regularly check pharmacy stock for outdates.
• Assist in the dispensing of employee prescriptions and OTC’s.
• Assume general clerical duties.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE

• 6 months Pharmacy Tech experience required, certification by PTCB preferred

EDUCATION

• High School Graduate
