Looking for meaningful work where you can make a difference?

Spark Community is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities in their home and community. As a DSP, you'll help individuals with their everyday routines while encouraging independence and helping them live as safely and independently as possible.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed
  • Help with meals, household routines, and community activities
  • Provide transportation as needed
  • Support individuals in reaching personal goals and becoming more independent
  • Provide a safe, dependable, and positive environment
  • Complete required documentation

Schedule:
This position includes overnight shifts, typically 2:00 PM–8:00 AM. Shifts may fall on weekdays, weekends, and holidays depending on the individual's schedule.

No experience required! Caregiving experience is helpful, but training is provided for the right candidate.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required; copy must be provided
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record ; copy must be provided
  • Valid auto insurance; copy must be provided
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work required overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • No experience required; caregiving experience or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Ability to follow individualized care plans, policies, and safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Dependable, responsible, patient, and compassionate
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including drug screening, background checks, and maltreatment registry checks
