About This Position
Description:
The Assembler is responsible for performing electronic and mechanical assembly operations in a high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment. This role supports the production of mission-critical products by following detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Assembler works as part of a team to meet production schedules while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly tasks such as PCBA support, cable and wire harness assembly, box build, and sub-assemblies
- Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and quality requirements
- Adhere to IPC standards, J-STD-001 requirements, ESD controls, and customer specifications as trained
- Inspect own work to ensure accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with quality standards
- Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or process issues to Production Leads or Supervisors
- Maintain clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstations
- Accurately complete production documentation and tracking as required
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Support cross-training efforts and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training in electronics assembly preferred but not required
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred; entry level candidates may be considered
- Basic understanding of electronic components, tools, and assembly processes a plus
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and procedures
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during assembly operations
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
