Service Technician in Mcdonald, Pennsylvania at Stephenson Equipment, Inc.

Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for a Service Technician in our Pittsburgh, PA location.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
• Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges
• Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools
• Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent
• Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes
• Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using controls and regulating devices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Our Best fit will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working on heavy equipment or cranes
• Continued Education with a technical school is a plus
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift 50lbs with an occasional lift up to 100lbs with assistance of a crane
