Facilities Technician role open to South Florida Market!

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Availability for clinics closing as late as 10pm, emergency and after hours calls as needed.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Tech, under the direction of the Facilities Manager is responsible for the timely completion of all work requests, preventive maintenance assignments and emergencies throughout all offices.

REPORTS TO: Reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: (This list may not include all of the duties that may be assigned.)

  1. Responsible for traveling to all offices and complete in a timely and professional manner, all work requests, preventive maintenance, emergencies and insure proper follow up until completion.

  • Responsible for managing inventory of all materials, special tools, or other related supplies necessary for the efficient and timely completion off assigned tasks.
  • Responsible for obtaining proper documentation for all requests and the proper entries/log out of all requests in work order management system.
  • Responsible for procuring and maintaining the necessary materials/parts to complete all requests in a safe and efficient manner. Also to return work areas to original level of cleanliness, remove all tools, materials and debris created during accomplishment of assigned tasks.
  • Responsible to use all applicable safety and PPE in the completion of any assigned tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections while performing assigned tasks and correct any discrepancies, unsafe conditions as necessary or report to Facilities Supervisor.
  • Monitor outside vendor and contractor’s performance to ensure all work is completed according to specifications.
  • May need to assist Facilities Supervisor in coordinating construction projects and renovations.
  • Assist with maintaining building security and respond to building emergencies after regular working hours and weekends.
  • Assist in all departmental and office relocations as required.
  • Utilize personal vehicle to transport goods and equipment as needed and have a valid driver’s license.
  • TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Working in professional office environment. Involves interaction with management and medical providers. May require sitting for long periods. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 35 wpm, operate calculator, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary. Must be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally. Requires, occasional lifting of files and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in a high volume environment. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy, Federal, State, and local regulations.

    Education: High School graduate. Technical/Trades school (Preferred).

    Licensure/Certification: None

    *Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period driver’s license must be active and valid.*

    Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years in the maintenance repair of buildings and interiors. (Preferably in the healthcare industry).

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and any work order management system. Must be experienced and knowledgeable in the repair, replacement and installation of building components such as, plumbing fixtures, light bulbs, electrical, ceiling tiles, flooring, carpentry, locks, drywall and painting. Must be able effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors. Must be able to work independently at well as with other facilities personnel.

    Must be able to climb and work on top of ladders, work with power tools and be able to lift up to 50 lb.
