About This Position
Position Summary
Provides support and assistance to Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants with non medical tasks and administrative duties to provide the patient with a positive experience. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task, and be flexible to the changing needs of the department.
Primary Position Responsibilities
- Retrieving equipment such as hot packs, cold packs, and exercise equipment for therapist use
- Calling patients in to the treatment area from waiting room
- Cleaning/sanitizing of tables and equipment after patient use
- Stocking linens/towels and disposing of used linens/towels, disposing of full dirty linen bags at the bins
- Assist patients with machine or equipment set up, retrieving items for patients necessary for their therapeutic exercise programs
- Assist PSR with clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages, scheduling and canceling appointments, covering these duties when PSR is not available
- Other duties as needed for front office support and therapist support

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Preferred:
Exposure to Physical Therapy office preferred
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Preferred:
Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, flexibility and adaptability to changing situations, effective communication skills
