Job Description Summary:

Laundry Personnel works in various areas in laundry. Which include the following: sorting, destaining by hand, wash, dry, fold in detail, pack up supplies and work the Iron machine. Laundry washes supplies for all departments, including: banquets, maintenance and housekeeping. Occasionally laundry personnel will help room cleaners strip rooms.

Provide the best in-room experience through our high-level cleaning team service to make all guests feel like part of our Campbell’s Family.

The Housekeeping Department offers exceptional cleaning services in the rooms, conference rooms, restaurant and public areas. Making sure that those areas are clean and comfortable to receive guests.

Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to make decisions be adaptable and work as a team in a work environment.
  • Verbal communication skills in Basic English and Spanish.
  • Understand the laundry manual.
  • Load with caution 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs with loads, lift objects above the head.
  • Ability to bend over to kneel and stretch carefully.
  • Possess the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Flexible schedules if necessary.
  • Motivation to serve the public. You can find jobs to do without being constantly supervised.
  • Flexible and willing to learn to do new jobs.
  • Possess the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Have the ability to pay attention to detail completely.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory background check of the company.
  • Stand 8 to 10 hours. per day.
  • Ability to safely operate laundry machines.
  • Ability to safely operate a sewing machine.
  • Have respect for all your co-workers.
  • Good hygiene and personal hygiene.
  • Do not be allergic to chemicals.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Essential Functions:

  • Get to work in a clean and tidy uniform, well-groomed and ready to work.
  • Create an atmosphere that makes Campbell a pleasant place to work.
  • Be a team player, showing enthusiasm while helping others.
  • Sort all kinds of clothes that come to laundry.
  • Wash necessary sheets also such as towels, tablecloths, rags, curtains, blankets, kitchen towel, and restaurant uniforms.
  • Work at both Campbell’s and At Midtowner Motel properties.
  • Be trained in room cleaning.
  • Have cross- workouts.
  • Remove stains from all the clothes that arrives and needs to be scrubbed (when we use different types of liquids, it depends on the stains).
  • Wash clothes that are stained with blood, vomit, poop, clothes with dog or cat hair.
  • Dry the clothes when it is washed. We put the clothes in a cart to move them to the dryers. In the dryers they put: Towels, Curtains, and Blankets, Rags, Pillows and Uniforms.
  • Fold by hand. On the table, fold kitchen towels, small hand towels, tablecloths, fitted sheets, curtains and colored clothes.
  • Folding machine: fold large and medium towels, pool towels and cloth mat.
  • The Iron Machine: To operate this machine, it takes 2 people for each one to take a corner of the sheet, stretch and put on the bands.
  • In this machine you put sheet, cover and tablecloths.
  • Packer: The one who packs checks everything that is folded and packs: sheets, covers, regular curtains and tablecloths.
  • Be informed of the services Campbell’s offers to the guest.
  • Have daily responsibility for your assigned area.
  • Have the responsibility for the final inspection in detail.
  • Make inventories how to follow your list of activities.
  • Other duties as required.
  • At the end of the day clean your designated areas and help your team out.
  • Will be trained in a different section each day, the following week you will be in each section with another employee.
  • Types of position and hours of work:

    This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends, nights, and holidays are also necessary. You must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
