Director Friends Foundation - Full Time
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO, that focuses on personalized care. What to expect as the Director of Friends Foundation:
- Works with the SGCMH Foundation Board and committees to achieve the mission, goals and objectives of the hospital.
- Develops and implements an annual fund raising event plan that identifies activities to increase donations and support from individual, foundation, corporate, and government sources to expand and strengthen the Foundation.
- Solicit philanthropic support of Foundation and events by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing donor sources including patients and their families, physicians, faculty, staff and other key people.
- Using Foundation events and activities to facilitate growth of the annual fund, planned gifts, major gifts; identify and expand corporate donors and sponsorships; and management of endowment.
- Builds working relationships and serves as development liaison to schools and businesses and other key community partners to support the Foundation.
- Creates and nurtures culture of philanthropic support with all audiences.
- Develops and implements fund raising activities and initiatives.
- Formulates and implements strategies for contributions from new gift prospects and facilitates contacts between the Hospital and community.
- Develops and prepares fund raising activities to ensure proper acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship of donors; evaluates effectiveness of development programs. Maintain record of all awards and designations.
- Develops and coordinates the Legacy campaign.
- Prepares biannual newsletter for donors.
- Coordinates supports and attends board meetings and committee meetings as well as oversee recruitment and orientation of new board members.
- Oversees funds distribution in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and donor’s request.
- Maintains database of donor information, and develop systems for timely data entry, reporting, and pledge collection system, etc.
- Works with Board and Administration to determine fundraising activities, goals, and objectives, as well as any fund raising projects or needs.
- Assists Marketing with determining public relations and advertising needs and scope to enhance/promote the image of the Foundation and its fundraising efforts. Participates in developing fundraising materials, case statements, and brochures.
- Supports preparation and oversees Foundation annual budget.
- Monitors program achievements, and progress as well as oversee and assist preparation of all appropriate materials, reports, correspondence, letters and proposals for all Foundation business.
- Assists in development, planning, coordination, and delivery of community events.
- Assists in monthly donor and income reports.
- In conjunction with the Hospital finance office, process all donations and pledges, and maintains the Gift Receipts. Provide information for financial reports and documentation.
- Coordinates details for Friends community presentations including scheduling, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and handouts.
- Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Participates in professional development as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Public Relations, Communications or similar field
- 2 to 3 years of experience preferred in fund raising, development, special events or public relations in a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations, governing boards, volunteer management or philanthropic processes desirable
- Experience in bookkeeping or data management preferred
