Responsibilities
The employee functions as a liaison, resource expert, and consultant to Nursing Service personnel during and throughout an assigned shift. The Team Leader serves as an on-site administrator and facilitates communication between and among patient care providers, physicians, and support service associates. The Team Leader serves as a customer relation representative for patients, families, and visitors. Acts as a liaison to the Leadership Team regarding issues related to nursing personnel safety and public relations.
Team Leader reports to Clinical Nurse Manager
Minimum Education
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; candidates considered if working toward completion of
degree (must be completed within 5 years) If hired after June of 2010 at KMCS, all other KHN
facilities after Jan 2011.
• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course
• Certified in specialty within six months
Required Licenses
[Ohio, United States] Registered Nurse
Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
Required Skills
• BLS certification
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of ICU and/or PACU experience required
