JOB TITLE: Dermatologist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services in an outpatient setting. This role is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The Dermatologist collaborates with clinical staff and leadership to ensure efficient clinic operations, positive patient outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience, while advancing a culture grounded in trust, excellence, innovation, and connection.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Clinical Care

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat dermatologic conditions including skin diseases, disorders, and lesions

Perform in-office procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other minor surgical interventions

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care

Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)

Patient Experience

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on clear communication and education

Ensure timely access to care and efficient patient flow

Address patient questions and concerns in a professional and respectful manner

Collaboration & Care Coordination

Work closely with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate care

Collaborate with nursing and support staff to optimize clinic operations

Participate in case discussions and care planning as needed

Quality & Compliance

Adhere to all clinical guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics

Maintain compliance with documentation, coding, and billing standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology

Active, unrestricted medical license in Washington

DEA license

Completion of accredited dermatology residency program

Skills:

Strong clinical knowledge in medical and procedural dermatology

Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills

Effective communication and patient education abilities

Attention to detail and commitment to quality care

Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient clinic efficiently

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Outpatient clinic setting

Fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Standard clinic hours with potential for extended hours based on patient demand

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand, sit, and perform procedures for extended periods

Fine motor skills required for dermatologic procedures

Ability to lift and position equipment as needed

Benefit Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
