Lab Clerk Central Facility in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives and processes samples that are submitted to laboratory for analysis. Performs duties required for computer order entry of test requests. Handles inquiries pertaining to specimen collection requirements and other lab test information. Serves as a receptionist to patients and visitors. Performs various operational tasks in the lab information system. Completes assigned tasks rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy. Collaborates with others to complete assigned work. Performs other related duties as may be requested or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Ability to speak, read and write English and understand oral and written instructions is required.
