About the New England Center for Children:
The New England Center for Children (NECC) is currently hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for a consultant position. The BCBA will provide consultation services based on the principles of applied behavior analysis to staff and students in public schools.
About the Position:
The BCBA Consultant will provide ABA-based training and consultation in public school settings. BCBA Consultants work with public schools, demonstrating how behavior analytic intervention can result in lasting student progress. The BCBA Consultant will work in close collaboration with and under the supervision of a NECC Assistant Director and/or Director. This position includes paid initial training and ongoing professional development and CEU opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing behavioral consultation for students in Public School Districts across a range of grade levels
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide BCBA consultation services prescribed in IEP service delivery grids as an IEP team member, including writing and overseeing goals and objectives
- Provide training and coaching for staff using a behavioral skills training model
- Documenting consultation activities, observations, and/or clinical/educational recommendations
- Conducting functional behavioral assessments
- Developing behavioral intervention plans
- Designing individualized data collection systems
- Designing individualized reinforcement systems
- Assisting general education teachers and instructional assistants in providing quality inclusion experiences for students
- Managing a consultation schedule and effectively communicating any changes to stakeholders in a timely manner
- May include providing ongoing RBT supervision.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience in staff training and staff supervision
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of the principles of ABA
- Driver’s license required or the ability to obtain a Massachusetts driver's license within 2 months of employment.
- Access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation is required.
- Red Cross CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) or CPR training completion through the agency within 6 months of employment.
- Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
