About This Position
Description:
GTA Containers, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance – Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting and Repair – Diagnosing problems with equipment and machinery; making necessary repairs.
- Recordkeeping – Maintaining records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Communication – Effectively communicating with supervisors and team leads regarding work status and issues.
- Technical Knowledge – Understanding mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Must know 480V and 220V three phase
- Must know 110V electrical
- Safety Awareness – Understanding and adhering to safety regulations.
- Physical stamina – Be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be proficient with hand and power tools.
- Assist in the installation and startup of new machinery and production lines.
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Must have great customer service skills.
- Must have great problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- 2–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience is a plus.
Work Environments:
- Working Flexible Hours as needed.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
