Job Summary:
A successful and expanding personal injury law firm located in Marietta is seeking a seasoned, results-oriented Senior Personal Injury Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience in plaintiff and/or insurance defense litigation and be prepared to take ownership of personal injury cases from intake through resolution. The role requires a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May oversee and mentor junior attorneys, case managers, and litigation paralegal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in personal injury cases.
• Manage cases independently from inception through resolution, including trial if necessary.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for and attend pretrial conferences, motion hearings, mediations, and jury trials.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, maintaining focus on optimal outcomes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and stay current on relevant case law, statutes, and industry trends.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the legal process.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia, in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience (personal injury plaintiff or insurance defense preferred).
• Proven track record of handling all phases of personal injury litigation, from intake to trial.

Required Skills:

• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Significant courtroom experience, with confidence in handling hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Superior negotiation and client counseling abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools, case management systems, and standard office software.
• Commitment to providing outstanding client service and maintaining high ethical standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
