Mammography Technologist

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
-
The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality screening mammograms to assist in the early detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities. This role requires technical expertise in radiology imaging, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The technologist ensures each patient receives respectful, personalized service while maintaining compliance with hospital and departmental protocols.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:
-
One year as a mammography technologist preferred

Education and Training:
-
Must have completed formal ACR-approved Radiologic Technology program in mammography preferred unless training
-
-
License, Certification & Registration:
-
MALIRM - Mass License in Radiography and Mammography (or working towards Mammography certification if training in this modality)
-
ARTRTR - Registered Technologist Radiography
-
ARRTM – ARRT Mammography-Unless Training and working towards certification
-
CPR is required
-
