About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Tech to join our team at Moxy by Marriott in Halifax Nova Scotia. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay by providing them with a clean and well-maintained environment. You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry
• Responding to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
• Ensuring that all maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with local regulations
• Assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel

Skills:

As a Maintenance Tech, you will use your strong technical skills to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. You will also use your excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with guests and respond to their maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
