POSITION SUMMARY

• Schedules outpatient procedures in PHS completing a pre-screen for Medical Necessity and verifying complete and correct orders are received.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Required:

  • High school diploma with 12 months experience in a professional or healthcare related business office or similar experience in a Clinical setting such as an acute care hospital or Ambulatory Surgical Center.

  • Incumbent must be proficient in the use of keyboard and basic computer applications.

• Preferred:

  • Above plus college level coursework in related field, Bi-Lingual with strong Spanish comprehension and verbal skills, advanced computing skills, Familiar with ICD, CPT, HCPCS Coding, & Medical terminology.
