Customer Service/Forklift Operator at Yoders Building Supply Inc – Fairplay, South Carolina

PURPOSE:

Serve customers on the yard by building orders that have been requested by salesmen. As well as providing orders that have been requested.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Use forklift to pull materials

· Build orders for customers

· Assist customers if they prefer to choose their own material

· Assist with inventory cycle counts

· Process customer returns

· Keep yard and warehouse clean

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

• Attends all required safety training
• Comply with company safety policy
• Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to remain focused and calm.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to multitask.
• Operate forklift and pass forklift operator exam.
• Team player.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Sometimes deal with sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
• Heavy lifting up to 100lbs might be required
• Work in all weather conditions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 40+ hour workweek. Must be available for overtime as needed.
