Food Service Prep Staff at YMCA of Greater Flint – FENTON, Michigan

General Function: Executes food preparations, stockroom management, cleaning of kitchen facility, equipment and general cleaning of dining facilities.

Entry Requirements:

· Prior experience in food service. 6 months- 1 year experience

· Knowledge of potential safety and security problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Implementation of all food service functions at camp, which includes food prep, service, cleaning of kitchen facilities, equipment and dining facilities.

· Monitor all necessary food and cooking supplies.

· Dining hall set up for special events.

· Manage camp resources (as related to food services), proactively working toward a consistent focus, enhancement and quality food and meals to support the mission of the YMCA.

· Adhere to all safety standards dictated by the American Camping Association and the licensing standards of the State of Michigan.

Effect on End Results: The Food Service Staff member is responsible for all meals served and the equipment and facilities used in the food service process. The position will have a direct impact on the quality stay for all guests of camp. YMCA Camp Copneconic will have a satisfied and growing participant base, quality programs and services, sound financial position and a positive community image.
