About This Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supplier Quality Process Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in managing product quality requirements across our supply chain, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. Our facility is optimized for low to mid-volume production, while our offshore facilities are optimized for high-volume production, offering the ability to scale with varying manufacturing requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D standards, and will be responsible for ensuring that both internal processes and supplier activities align with these standards.

Supplier Quality Management:

o Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with quality requirements and company standards.

o Collaborate with suppliers to identify, address, and resolve quality-related issues and discrepancies.

o Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and work with suppliers to improve quality systems and processes.

o Lead the supplier qualification and approval process in line with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D standards.

Process Control and Improvement:

o Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production flow.

o Implement and manage quality control plans, including process validation and verification activities.

o Ensure that corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are established and monitored to resolve quality issues.

Compliance and Standards Management:

o Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS 9100D, and other applicable quality management standards.

o Review and interpret technical documentation, specifications, and quality standards to ensure product requirements are being met.

o Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards.

o Conduct hands-on environmental compliance work to ascertain a product's REACH, SVHC, RoHS, Prop 65, and related environmental material certifications.

o Conduct and maintain compliance data to support adherence to REACH SVHC, ROHS, TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS, and other applicable regulations.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:

o Work closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to provide quality support throughout the product lifecycle.

o Act as a liaison between the engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure seamless communication and implementation of quality initiatives.

o Support product and process audits as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier performance, audits, and quality improvement projects.

o Provide regular reports on supplier quality performance and key quality metrics to senior management.

Education & Experience:

o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.

o 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, process engineering, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

o Experience with low to mid-volume production and knowledge of high-volume production processes.

o 3+ years of environmental material or compliance engineering experience.

Certifications:

o ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D knowledge and practical application; certification as a Lead Auditor or Quality Engineer (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

o Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.

o Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques.

o Proficiency in using quality management software and ERP systems.

o Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Additional Skills:

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams and external suppliers effectively.

o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

o Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring product quality and compliance.
