Self-Direction Reimbursable Supports Coordinator in Saratoga Springs, New York at AIM Services Inc

Purpose:

The Self-Direction Reimbursable Supports Coordinator (SDRSC) will be responsible for supporting the Reimbursable Supports team with reviewing and organizing all community events and opportunities to assure they are reimbursable within the New York State Self-Direction model. The SDRSC will participate in all reimbursement support meetings and work with internal/external teams and providers as needed. They will collaboratively work with the internal and external teams to provide education and guidance on how opportunities can be reimbursed and will assist with education if the opportunity is not reimbursable within the Self-Direction program. The SDRSC will explain any applicable procedures and regulations to the person supported and their team. Education can be provided on a one-on-one basis or via trainings.

Essential Functions:

• The SDRSC will work collaboratively with a team to assure AIM has reviewed all current community offerings for reimbursement within the Self-Direction program and create an organized database for use.
• Work within the department to assure all payments are correctly processed in a timely manner. The team will work together to assure all expenses needing more information are rectified and processed accordingly.
• The SDRSC will support teams as needed with reimbursement questions and follow up.

Other Duties:

• Participate as an active member of the individuals' program team and Circle of Support as needed.
• Flexibility of schedule to ensure program implementation.
• Any and all other related duties as requested by supervisor.

Responsible to: Self-Direction Reimbursable Supports Supervisor

Status: Non-exempt

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in a Human Services Related Field with 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred; OR High School Degree with 4 years experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Program specific training (provided)
• Valid NYS Driver's License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if using your own vehicle.
• Ability to exhibit/maintain a professional, kind, courteous and patient manner at all times

Physical / Cognitive Requirements:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Reading and Math skills at a level to perform job duties
• Demonstrated interest and ability to make possible the personal outcomes of individuals receiving services
• Adherence to Agency policies and procedures
