About This Position

Summary Description

nbkc bank is currently looking for a Loan Coordinator to join our Loan Administration team.

As a Loan Coordinator, you will handle construction loan budgets, process HELOCs, keep loan files organized, and make sure all lending rules are followed. You'll also interact with customers to gather necessary information and documents. Other duties include managing pre-closing documentation, ordering loan documents, and ensuring that all closed loan packages are complete.

This position will work @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home) based out of our Kansas City, MO headquarters. This team works in the office 2-3 days a week.

What you’ll do

  • Construction loan budget, draw and inspection processing
  • Processing for Consumer Home Equity Line of Credits (HELOCs)
  • Responsible for the set up and organization of loan files.
  • Establish new loan customers within the Bank’s operating systems and ensures adherence with the Bank’s internal CIP processes
  • Facilitate the application process, request and/or distribute initial disclosures on new loans to ensure compliance with lending regulations
  • Interact with customers (via phone, email, in-person,etc) per Loan Officer’s direction on the collection of information, documents, and general customer service requests
  • Utilize loan reports to manage workflow
  • Obtain all pre-closing documentation as needed for (i.e. credit reports, flood certifications, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, proof of insurance, tax receipts, entity documentation, etc.)
  • Assist in the ordering of loan documents
  • Ensure closed loan packages are complete and send for booking
  • Verify the recordation of collateral documentation ensuring lien position
  • Upload all loan documentation after booking for document retention
  • Track and maintain records of declined loan requests to adequately satisfy all compliance issues
  • Set up and maintain exception items, and ensure loan file information is kept current and follow up on outstanding items
  • Obtain a strong knowledge of the Bank’s Credit/Loan Policy
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or High School diploma required
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years previous experience working in commercial or consumer banking department
  • Construction draw and consumer loan processing experience
  • Knowledge of business banking terminology
  • Understanding of loan structuring, pricing, and analysis of typical collateral items
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
