Job Description

Application Manager, FCCS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Application Manager, FCCS based in the United States.

Take ownership of enterprise financial consolidation technology in a complex, multi-entity manufacturing environment. As the senior technical owner of Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), you will design, configure, integrate, secure, and continuously improve the systems that support financial close and consolidated reporting. Working closely with Finance, ERP, Data & Analytics, and security teams, you will connect multiple operational platforms while maintaining reliable, auditable financial data flows. You will also help extend validated financial and operational data into Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Power BI. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity to strengthen financial processes, improve reporting quality, and reduce manual work without requiring unnecessary replacement of existing ERP systems.

Accountabilities

You will lead the technical ownership and ongoing development of the financial consolidation platform, translating Finance-approved requirements into reliable configurations, integrations, controls, and support processes.

  • FCCS Platform Ownership

    • Administer, configure, and enhance Oracle FCCS and related Oracle EPM services, including dimensions, member properties, forms, workflows, rules, journals, task management, substitution variables, security, and environment promotion.

    • Manage platform configuration and technical operations to ensure reliable financial close and consolidated reporting.

    • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.

  • Consolidation and Financial Close

    • Translate Finance-approved requirements into controlled and testable system configurations covering entity hierarchies, currency translation, intercompany matching and eliminations, ownership structures, cash flow, and multi-GAAP reporting.

    • Configure close tasks and system workflows while ensuring Finance retains ownership of accounting policies, approved mappings, and close sign-off.

    • Improve close reliability and consistency across multiple operating entities.

  • ERP and Data Integration

    • Design and support repeatable integrations between FCCS and multiple ERP and source systems, including IFS, Sage, Business Central, Dynamics SL, Spectrum, and NetSuite.

    • Build and monitor file- and API-based data loads, mappings, validations, error handling, drill-through capabilities, and reconciliation reporting.

    • Coordinate with the enterprise data team to make validated financial and operational data available through OneLake and Power BI.

    • Define data contracts, lineage, refresh schedules, reconciliation points, and support procedures across FCCS, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Fabric.

  • Master Data and Metadata Management

    • Establish controlled processes for chart-of-accounts alignment and the management of entities, departments, cost centers, products, locations, currencies, and other dimensions.

    • Maintain mapping tables, ownership records, approval histories, effective dates, and change traceability.

  • Technical Operations, Security, and Compliance

    • Manage FCCS environments, monthly and quarterly updates, configuration migrations, release notes, service requests, vendor coordination, monitoring, incident response, and recovery procedures.

    • Enforce role-based access, least-privilege principles, segregation of duties, privileged access controls, and periodic access reviews.

    • Maintain evidence and system records supporting SOX/ITGC requirements, internal audits, and financial reporting controls.

    • Ensure configuration changes and technical operations follow established change management procedures.

  • Testing and Release Management

    • Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing plans for FCCS configurations and interfaces.

    • Coordinate business validation, manage defects, secure approvals, and document deployment and rollback procedures.

    • Ensure releases and enhancements are tested, approved, and properly documented.

  • Technical Leadership and Continuous Improvement

    • Act as the senior IT point of contact for financial consolidation technology.

    • Lead solution design and coordination with Finance, ERP, Data & Analytics, security teams, auditors, implementation partners, and managed service providers.

    • Guide technical resources and vendors toward sustainable, supportable solutions.

    • Identify recurring reconciliation differences, failed data loads, manual journal activity, close bottlenecks, and support trends.

    • Prioritize improvements that strengthen data quality, reduce manual effort, and make financial close more predictable while preserving effective operational ERP systems.

Requirements

The successful candidate combines deep hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems and a strong understanding of consolidation processes, data integration, and technology controls. You should be comfortable leading technical discussions across Finance and IT, resolving complex issues, and communicating risks and solutions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 8 years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems, including 5 or more years working with financial consolidation, close, or EPM platforms.

  • Hands-on implementation or administration experience with Oracle FCCS and related Oracle EPM components, including configuration, metadata, rules, security, data loads, and environment migration.

  • Demonstrated experience integrating multiple ERP or general ledger systems into a consolidation or reporting platform, covering mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and error resolution.

  • Working knowledge of multi-entity financial close and consolidation concepts, including currency translation, intercompany accounting, eliminations, entity hierarchies, and financial reporting.

  • Ability to collaborate with Finance teams to translate approved requirements into technical solutions while respecting Finance’s ownership of accounting decisions.

  • Experience with SQL and data integration concepts, including APIs, file-based integrations, ETL/ELT processes, logging, restartability, and data quality controls.

  • Experience working in SOX/ITGC or comparable control environments, including access management, change control, evidence retention, and audit support.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risks, system issues, and data discrepancies to Finance leaders and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle FCCS or Oracle EPM Cloud certification.

  • Experience with EPM Automate, Data Integration, REST APIs, or related automation tools.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or enterprise data lakehouse architectures.

  • Experience in multi-entity manufacturing, acquisition integration, or private-equity-backed environments with multiple retained ERP platforms.

  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain or other ERP platforms within a heterogeneous technology landscape.

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or relevant project management, cloud, data, or security certification.

Success Measures

  • FCCS data loads are completed reliably and on schedule, with documented ownership and timely resolution of exceptions.

  • Financial close and consolidation become more predictable, with measurable reductions in manual adjustments, recurring data errors, and avoidable support incidents.

  • Financial and operational reporting data has clear lineage from source systems through FCCS or OneLake to approved reports.

  • Access controls, configuration changes, integrations, and releases remain documented, approved, tested, and audit-ready.

  • System enhancements improve consolidation and reporting capabilities while allowing business units to retain operational ERP platforms that meet their needs.

Benefits

  • Primarily office-based work environment.

  • Opportunities to collaborate with Finance, IT, Data & Analytics, and operational teams across manufacturing locations.

  • Periodic travel to operating units and manufacturing sites.

  • Senior technical ownership and the opportunity to shape enterprise financial systems and processes.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening, in accordance with applicable law.
