Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually

Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions (MMS) seeks an experienced, hands-on Regional Area Manager to lead contract maintenance operations across Illinois. This role oversees multiple locations, supports site leadership and field teams, strengthens customer relationships, and drives safe, efficient, profitable operations.

• Oversee daily contract maintenance operations across multiple Illinois locations
• Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers, Site Supervisors, and field teams
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and cost-control performance
• Ensure services meet contract requirements, company standards, and customer expectations
• Manage regional budgets, labor costs, operating expenses, purchasing, and resource allocation
• Review financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Build strong customer relationships through regular communication and site visits
• Resolve escalated customer, staffing, and operational concerns
• Support recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
• Conduct site audits and help ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and customer safety standards
• Identify opportunities for additional maintenance services, project work, contract renewals, and regional growth
• Partner with customers and internal teams on proposals, site assessments, and service expansions

• Regular travel throughout Illinois is required and is a must for this position
• Mileage is compensated for approved business travel
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required

• 5+ years of maintenance, facilities, business, or operations management experience
• At least 2 years of regional or multi-site leadership experience
• Industrial maintenance experience or strong maintenance knowledge is highly preferred
• Experience managing teams, budgets, labor costs, and operational performance
• Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Experience using CMMS or other maintenance management systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Ability to respond to urgent operational needs and work flexible hours when necessary
