Radiographer (RAD Tech), Full Time

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm and Monday, 9:00am - 9:30pm; Call and holiday required

Radiology Department Highlights:
  • Variety of exams performed: Fluoroscopy, OR, Trauma

Here's What You Need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required or
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 1 Year radiologic technologist experience preferred
  • GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam

• Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest

• Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations

• Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

• Maintain attention to details

• Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed

• Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS

• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS

• Print laser images from modality or PACS

• Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
