What You’ll Do:
Safely pick up, transport, and deliver donated goods; maintain vehicle logs and safety checks; ensure proper loading/unloading; and support daily operational needs as assigned.
Role Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst / Fiscal Coordinator supports financial stewardship, compliance, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Working closely with finance leadership, this role manages financial planning, grant oversight, and regulatory compliance. It also partners with program leadership to translate financial data into insights that support performance and sustainability.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support organizational planning and program sustainability.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses comparing budget, forecast, and actual results.
- Identify financial trends, cost drivers, and operational risks.
- Produce financial summaries and analytical dashboards for finance leadership.
- Support long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Will work in close cooperation with Grants, Programs, and Data Analytics
2. Budget Development & Monitoring
- Coordinate the annual organizational and program budget process in collaboration with the Controller and program leadership.
- Monitor departmental and grant budgets to ensure alignment with approved plans.
- Prepare variance analyses and provide recommendations to address budget deviations.
- Support program directors in developing financial projections and cost structures.
3. Grant & Contract Fiscal Management
- Coordinate fiscal oversight of federal, state, municipal, and foundation-funded programs.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements and approved budgets.
- Support preparation of financial reports, reimbursement requests, and grant documentation.
- Work closely with program staff to maintain strong fiscal management of funded programs.
4. Federal Grant Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations including Uniform Guidance.
- Monitor adherence to cost principles, documentation standards, and cost allocation methodologies.
- Assist with maintaining internal controls and fiscal policies related to federal funding.
- Provide guidance to program managers on grant financial requirements.
5. Camillus House Grant Portfolio Fiscal Coordination
- Support fiscal administration of the organization’s diverse grant portfolio, including federal, state, county, and municipal funding sources.
- Coordinate financial oversight for grants from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other public funding partners.
- Provide Support with Fixed Assets, Expense Allocation and Right Of Use (ROU) shedules
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and funding guidelines.
- Prepare financial reports and documentation required by funding agencies.
- Assist program leadership with fiscal management of grant-funded programs.
- Support internal monitoring and reconciliation of grant expenditures and revenue
6. Audit Coordination & Financial Reporting
- Support preparation for the annual financial audit and federal Single Audit.
- Assist with preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
- Coordinate financial documentation requested by external auditors.
- Maintain financial records and reporting that support transparency and regulatory compliance.
7. Financial Systems & Process Improvement
- Support improvements in financial reporting tools, systems, and data analytics.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen fiscal monitoring and internal controls.
- Assist in developing standardized financial reporting tools for program leadership.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, grant fiscal management, or nonprofit financial administration.
- Experience managing federally funded programs and grant compliance preferred.
- Experience supporting audit and grant reporting processes preferred.
Skills
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Advanced spreadsheet and financial systems proficiency.
- Knowledge of federal grant fiscal requirements and compliance standards.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to program and operational staff.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
