About This Position
Description:
Banquet Service Staff (Hourly)
Banquet Service Staff provide essential operational support during private and large-scale events at The Attic at Waterman’s, Festival on 8th, The Shack, and select off-site venues. This role is primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays, scheduled based on event needs.
Key Responsibilities
Event Support & Setup
- Arrive on time and event-ready to support setup, service flow, and overall event execution.
- Assist bartenders with bar preparation, including stocking supplies, ice, glassware, and equipment.
- Support bar operations during events to ensure efficient, uninterrupted service.
- Organize, return, and maintain service equipment and supplies throughout and after events.
Service Assistance
- Maintain buffet stations by replenishing food, monitoring presentation, and ensuring consistent quality.
- Support banquet servers with table maintenance, including clearing plates and resetting service areas.
- Respond promptly to spills or broken items, maintaining a safe and polished event environment.
Venue Standards & Cleanliness
- Assist with dishwashing and proper handling of dishes and glassware at select venues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across event spaces, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
- Participate in event breakdowns and post-event cleanup to ensure venues are left event-ready.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfortable navigating stairs and standing for extended periods.
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume event settings.
Schedule & Availability
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
- Shifts scheduled based on event demand.
- Availability for large-scale events and peak holiday weekends is essential.
