💰 Salary Range: $17.58-25.87/hour, based on experience and qualifications

🎯 About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Patient Safety and Activities Companion to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is responsible for consistently monitoring patients who are at risk for potential injury or self injury taking direction and guidance from the Registered Nurse &/or Director. As appropriate, the Companion will assist with daily patient hygiene needs, ensure patient status is communicated to other members of the care team and will engage patients in activities as indicated.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Monitor patients to ensure safety from falls or self-harm with attention to the maximum comfort and satisfaction of patients. Provides for patient safety through appropriate prevention measures (direct visualization/constant observation &/or suicide precautions &/or fall precautions.)
• Individualize services based on physical/developmental attributes while maintaining an environment conducive to meeting safety needs. Engage patient in diversion activities as appropriate. Encourages patient interaction and stimulation.
• Assists with patient ambulation.
• Provides assistance with food and nutrition.
• Assists RNs and PCAs with daily hygiene.
• Utilizes appropriate communication techniques. Observes and reports patient status changes and unsafe situations to members of the care team.
• Interacts with patient family members to share appropriate information and respond to any concerns and complaints raised.

📋 What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
