This Junior Litigation Paralegal position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain direct experience within the day-to-day operations of a prestigious law firm’s Litigation Department. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of litigation files based on established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support quality legal service delivery
- Manage and respond promptly to a high volume of email correspondence with attorneys, clients, courts, and internal departments
- Draft and prepare litigation documents, including motions, notices, and final judgments, under attorney supervision
- Track, calendar, and meet all client, court, and county deadlines
- File and upload pleadings and exhibits with courts and client systems in accordance with procedural requirements
- Update internal case management systems to ensure accurate documentation, findings, and case status information
- Handle all matters with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal requirements related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections, as applicable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to identify issues, follow corrective guidance, and implement recommendations effectively
- Willingness to learn litigation procedures and court rules in a high-volume environment
Education and Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Exposure to Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control principles (strongly preferred)
