Responsibilities:

• Report to the Transportation Director and collaborate with Driver Management, Human Resources, Mechanics, Dispatch, and Transportation Facilities.
• Oversee fleet assets and equipment while supervising mechanics to meet daily operational and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate routine and unscheduled fleet maintenance between drivers and mechanics to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Manage transportation operations projects and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Oversee inventory management for tires, parts, and supplies, including DEF and anti ? gel products.
• Maintain high standards of customer service while controlling departmental expenses and implementing cost ? saving initiatives.
• Supervise mechanical schedules and staffing to support fleet availability and efficiency.
• Coordinate annual inspections, VAPE testing, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Inspect vehicles, yards, and remote sites; oversee the preparation and outfitting of new trucks and trailers.
• Manage electronic logging and camera systems (Samsara).
• Support recruitment, training, and development of transportation maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, partner facilities, and transportation contacts.
• Foster a positive, high ? performance work environment through professional leadership and communication.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and management.
• Required experience in the delivery or trucking industry; fuel hauling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage training programs.
• Highly organized with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer proficiency required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a fast ? paced, hands ? on environment.
• Strong decision ? making skills with the ability to balance cost, customer expectations, and driver needs.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills across diverse teams.
• Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Standard schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m., with an expected 4550 hours (Over time as needed)
