The RoleWe're seeking a driven Account Executive to join our growing sales team. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving new business by identifying and closing opportunities with companies looking to transform their talent acquisition function. You'll partner with talent leaders at innovative companies to help them understand how Gem can solve their recruiting challenges and accelerate their hiring.
What You'll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations that showcase how Gem solves complex recruiting challenges
  • Build relationships with HR leaders, Heads of Talent Acquisition, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop account strategies and navigate complex organizational structures to close deals
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Collaborate with Sales Development, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and activity tracking in our CRM
  • Stay current on recruiting industry trends, competitor landscape, and the evolving talent acquisition technology space
  • Serve as a voice of the customer, providing product feedback to help shape our roadmap
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of full-cycle sales experience in B2B SaaS, preferably selling to HR or talent acquisition teams
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience managing deals ranging from $50K to $500K+ in annual contract value
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting/talent acquisition landscape or demonstrated ability to quickly become a subject matter expert
  • Excellent discovery skills with the ability to uncover pain points and align Gem's value proposition to customer needs
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.)
  • Proficiency with modern sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience selling recruiting technology, ATS, CRM, or HR tech solutions
  • Background in recruiting or talent acquisition
  • Experience in high-growth startup environments
  • Existing relationships with talent leaders at target companies
