Impact of the Role

General Profile
  • Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised
  • Must have any type of one direct report or more
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
  • Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment


Essential Functions

  • Supervises human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance.  
  • Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. 
  • Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.  
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership. 


    • Required Qualifications

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


      Preferred Qualifications

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Human Resources or Business degree preferred
      • Additional certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills. Compensation & Benefits. Employee Data Management. Employee Engagement. Employee Relations.       Physical Requirements

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
