About This Opportunity

AI doesn't deliver value by being deployed - it delivers value when people know how to use it. That gap between deployment and genuine adoption is exactly what this role exists to close.

As AI Enablement Lead, you will be the person who makes H2O.ai stick inside our most strategic accounts - initially anchored to tier-1 financial institutions in Australia and Southeast Asia. You will design and run structured training programs, build the enablement assets that scale adoption across large technical teams, and act as the trusted advisor who helps customers build lasting internal AI capability on top of the H2O.ai platform.

This is not a generalist customer success role. It is a specialist position for someone who combines deep technical fluency with a genuine talent for developing people - someone who can run a hands-on workshop with a team of data scientists in the morning and present adoption metrics to a CIO in the afternoon.

This position is based in Sydney, Australia.

What You Will Do

Enablement Program Design

  • Design end-to-end enablement programs for strategic accounts - from initial onboarding through to advanced capability development across data science, engineering, and business teams
  • Build structured curricula covering H2O.ai platform capabilities: Driverless AI, H2O MLOps, GenAI application development, Wave, and agentic AI tooling
  • Develop reusable enablement assets - training guides, playbooks, worked examples, reference architectures, and self-serve learning materials - tailored to financial services use cases
  • Design assessment frameworks to measure skill uplift and training effectiveness, and iterate programs based on results

Training Delivery

  • Lead hands-on workshops, bootcamps, and technical deep-dives for customer data scientists, ML engineers, and technical leads
  • Run executive-level AI literacy sessions for business stakeholders and senior leaders at customer organisations
  • Deliver onboarding programs for new teams and users coming onto the H2O.ai platform, reducing time-to-first-value
  • Coach individual practitioners on best practices: model development, feature engineering, pipeline hygiene, production deployment, and post-production monitoring

Adoption & Impact Measurement

  • Own adoption metrics for your accounts - platform usage depth, feature uptake, active user growth, and training completion rates
  • Build dashboards and reporting cadences that give both H2O.ai and the customer clear visibility of enablement progress and business impact
  • Identify adoption blockers early - whether technical, organisational, or skills-related - and take targeted action to remove them
  • Partner with delivery and account teams to ensure enablement activity translates into measurable business outcomes and supports renewal and expansion conversations

Evangelism & Community

  • Build internal AI communities of practice within customer organisations - identifying champions, facilitating peer learning, and sustaining momentum beyond formal training programs
  • Represent H2O.ai at industry events, customer forums, and external briefings, showcasing enablement outcomes and thought leadership
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the broader capability of the Forward Deployed AI Engineering team

Account Partnership

  • Act as the primary enablement point of contact for named strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with technical leads, learning & development teams, and senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with H2O.ai delivery engineers, ML engineers, and account managers to align enablement programs with live project work
  • Represent enablement progress and customer capability growth in internal reviews and external QBRs
  • Feed customer insights, skill gaps, and product usability feedback back to H2O.ai product and engineering teams

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years in a role combining technical AI/ML depth with customer-facing or training responsibilities - e.g. data science consulting, technical enablement, ML platform adoption, or AI customer success
  • Proven experience designing and delivering technical training programs or workshops for data science, engineering, or analytics audiences
  • Strong working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals: supervised and unsupervised modelling, feature engineering, model evaluation, interpretability, and production deployment
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts clearly for both technical practitioners and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Comfortable owning adoption metrics and using data to drive program improvements
  • Strong organisational skills - able to manage multiple concurrent programs across accounts without losing quality or momentum

How to Stand Out From the Crowd

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or insurance - particularly working with tier-1 institutions on AI/ML programmes
  • Familiarity with financial crime, AML/KYC, fraud detection, or regulatory compliance AI use cases
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps tooling (H2O MLOps, MLflow, or similar) and production model monitoring
  • Experience building internal AI communities of practice or centres of excellence within large enterprises
  • Kaggle or competitive ML background

Why H2O.ai?

  • Market leader in total rewards
  • Remote-friendly culture
  • Flexible working environment
  • Be part of a world-class team
  • Career growth
