The Maintenance Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the availability of Quonset Point’s production equipment and systems. The position provides technical leadership for the maintenance and repair of CNC equipment, weld equipment and other production related systems. Requires the ability to effectively organize and assign work to hourly employees such that safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment within the facility and provide technical guidance and support to daily operations
  • Completing preventative maintenance (PM) requirements per schedule, maintaining facility assets, buildings and grounds, and providing compliance oversight for EB and D962 policies and procedures, (SDD's, MDD's, and departmental instructions)
  • Assisting Facilities Management with planning, scheduling, training, safety, performance monitoring, equipment inspection, etc.
  • Must be driven to continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Training, Capturing and monitoring the employee’s development, and using this as a tool for successful employee cross training and optimal customer support
  • Availability, ensuring that you are obtainable while at work and as expected by upper management, after hours. In your absence, having proper systems and personnel in place for the success of your business.
  • Foster a culture of questioning and being self-critical shall help to achieve great customer service
  • Vendor oversight, managing the on-sight vendors to include, scheduling, planning and coordination of applicable work efforts Maintaining vendor POs for funding and period of performance. Utilizing the Oracle system for the procurement of parts and project planning in a timely manner
  • Ensuring bills are processed accurately and on-time. On a monthly interval, having metric meetings to discuss, manpower, current vs future state projects, and having clear objectives moving forward
  • Working with employees, identifying strengths and weaknesses, creating development opportunities, setting specific measurable, and utilizing systems to monitor progress are necessary.
  • Must have experience running projects
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense.


Responsibilities

  • Must have proficient computer skills to include Microsoft office, CMMS databases, and other on site systems
  • Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals
  • Applicants must posses strong communications skills (written and Verbal)
  • Must be customer focused


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience

Preferred:

  • College education/Trade desired
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • M Class, Journeyman RI or Master trade license
  • Previous experience with reliability and predictive maintenance practices
  • CMMS experience
