Job Description

As part of advancing our mission and vision, we are seeking a collaborative, organized, and solutions-oriented Grant Coordinator to join our team. Working in our Finance Department and reporting to our Controller, the Grant Coordinator is responsible for managing and/or assisting departments with grant proposals, applications, and compliance. This includes researching funding opportunities, assisting with proposal writing, maintaining grant-related documentation, assisting with the annual audit and Single Audit, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Additionally, the Grant Coordinator oversees the addition and maintenance of grant awards into Lake County's finance, accounting, and budget system.
  • Researching Grants: Identifying funding opportunities from government and private sources.
  • Proposal Assistance: Writing and reviewing grant applications, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
  • Budget Management: Collaborating with departments to develop project budgets.
  • System & Data Integrity: Ensures maintenance of grant award information in Lake County's finance, accounting, and budget system is accurate and complete.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining and/or assisting departments with accurate records and submitting financial and progress reports.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensuring adherence to grant requirements and providing training on grant management.

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in grant writing, management, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of budget management, funding sources, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects and initiatives while working independently and collaboratively.
