Job Description
Our Collections Clerk delivers exceptional service while coordinating collection efforts with members. We are looking for a candidate that also possesses the following skills; a high school diploma or equivalent, math aptitude and keyboarding skills. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 months credit union, related financial, or customer service experience
- Conscientious, and performs accurate work with respect for regulations and standards
- The ability to work independently while displaying initiative and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to interface with members in a positive manner with empathy, courtesy and tact
- Professional communication skills across various platforms (phone, video-chat text, email, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Display a high level of professionalism
- Dependable; punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support the credit union’s mission and values
JOB SUMMARY:
- Work early collections phone calls
- Process collections on negative accounts and debit cards
- Process online loan payments
- Backup other essential functions in the department as needed
Classification: Non-exempt
Location: Administration (Port Neches)
Hours: Scheduled for 40-hours per week between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:15AM to 5:15PM
