Reporting to the Director of Tax, EMEA, the role sits at the centre of EMEA tax delivery, working closely with Global Process Owners, Functional Owners, Tax Business Partners, Business Unit CFOs and senior stakeholders to ensure work is delivered to global standards, risks are managed effectively, and business priorities are supported with clear, commercial tax advice.

The role will help embed OneTAX across EMEA by supporting new ways of working, standardising direct tax workflows, overseeing the transition to a new global external compliance provider, and improving the use of tax data and technology.

As a leader of the EMEA Centre of Excellence, the role will develop a high-performing, collaborative team and help build a more agile, transparent and sustainable tax function across the region.

  • Oversee EMEA direct tax compliance and reporting, including corporation tax, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, Pillar 2, tax accounting and related matters.
  • Act as a senior tax adviser to EMEA CFOs and senior stakeholders, providing clear, commercial and practical tax advice.
  • Work with Tax Business Partners to ensure Business Unit priorities are understood, prioritised and managed effectively.
  • Lead EMEA tax authority engagement on direct tax matters, including HMRC and other regional audits, enquiries and disputes.
  • Oversee the transition to a new global external compliance provider, ensuring service quality, strong controls and cost discipline.
  • Champion the use of tax data, technology, automation and analytics to improve efficiency, insight and reporting capability.
  • Lead tax input on EMEA M&A, restructurings and strategic projects.
  • Build and develop a high-performing EMEA CoE team with strong technical, analytical, technology and business partnering capabilities.
  • Manage external adviser relationships and support effective management of the EMEA tax budget.

They will demonstrate:
  • Senior stakeholder presence and influencing skills.
  • Strong people leadership and coaching capability.
  • A collaborative, enterprise-first mindset.
  • Confidence working through transformation and ambiguity.
  • Strong commercial judgement and technical rigour.
  • Clear communication style, including with non-tax audiences.
