Maintenance at Village Management – Nashville, Illinois

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and safety of our property, ensuring a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. The position involves a variety of routine maintenance tasks scheduled on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly bases, with a starting pay of $17 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Daily:

- Walk grounds to pick up trash and litter, ensuring all traffic areas are free of hazards

- Check dumpster areas for overflowing trash, clean and sweep surrounding areas

- Inspect common areas for trash and empty trash containers as needed

- Check and restock supplies in public restrooms

- Inspect laundry rooms for cleanliness and supplies

- Review any new work orders in the maintenance box or with site management

Weekly:

- Clean dumpster areas thoroughly

- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, restrooms, and laundry rooms

- Blow off or sweep parking lots to remove debris

- Pull weeds and apply weed killer as necessary

- Inspect landscaping for trimming needs and overall health

Skills and Qualifications

- Prior experience in maintenance, janitorial, or groundskeeping roles preferred

- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance equipment

- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
