About the position:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the upkeep, safety, and operation of all Arc facilities and vehicle fleet across our Chico and Oroville locations. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance operations, coordinating preventive maintenance, and ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and fully functional for staff and clients. The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership and hands-on support for facility maintenance, janitorial services, event setup, and fleet management. This position works closely with leadership to prioritize projects, coordinate vendors, and maintain compliance with safety standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations across Chico and Oroville locations

  • Assign, monitor, and support maintenance

  • Conduct routine facility inspections and identify repair or safety needs

  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment

  • Coordinate repairs including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC support

  • Oversee setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the Arc Pavilion for event rentals, including occasional weekends

  • Maintain roof drains, landscaping, and outdoor areas

  • Manage fleet maintenance including scheduling services, tracking asset history, and conducting monthly vehicle inspections

  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies

  • Monitor maintenance inventory and approve supply purchases

  • Track maintenance requests and ensure timely completion

  • Provide updates to leadership regarding facility conditions and project status

  • Assist with hands-on repairs and maintenance as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of building maintenance systems and tools

  • Experience coordinating vendors and maintenance projects preferred

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to learn Asana which is a project management platform.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders using email, Google calendar and Slack for day-to-day coordination, updates, and collaboration.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non-arduous physical, drug/TB screen

  • Ability to travel locally to meet with clients, partners, or attend events, if applicable.

  • Ability to work in various environments, including office and community settings.

  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), standing, walking, or assisting individuals with mobility needs, if applicable.

  • Work environment may include exposure to pet allergens. The Arc maintains a pet-friendly culture, and animals (such as the office cat) may occasionally be present in the workplace. Employees may also encounter pet allergens through donated items or community environments.
