About This Position
Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager with a strong background in machining and manufacturing to drive revenue growth and manage key customer relationships. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise to support customers in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial manufacturing. The ideal candidate understands CNC machining processes, can interpret technical drawings, and is comfortable managing projects from quote to production.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities
· Review RFQs (Requests for Quote), analyze technical drawings, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to prepare accurate quotes
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, project updates, and issue resolution
· Actively pursue new accounts through networking, referrals, and industry outreach
· Work closely with shop floor personnel to ensure customer requirements, tolerances, and delivery timelines are met
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve profitable growth
· Monitor market trends and customer needs within precision machining and fabrication industries
· Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline activity
· Support continuous improvement efforts related to customer satisfaction, quoting accuracy, and turnaround time

Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in a machine shop, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in sales, account management, or business development preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC milling, turning, fabrication, etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a machinist, estimator, or manufacturing engineer
- Existing network within aerospace, medical, or industrial sectors
- Experience with quoting and cost estimation in a job shop environment
