About This Position
Summary
This position is accountable for providing medical care to patients as delegated by the physician in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Surgical Physician Assistant will participate in all aspects of patient care and act as first assist in the operating room. This position may require night and/or weekend call.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program
- Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Prescriptive authority privileges.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree.
- Previous experience as a physician assistant, working in a surgical practice that specializes in General Surgery.
