Position Summary
The Inventory/Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately performing cycle counts and supporting inventory management by investigating discrepancies and maintaining detailed documentation. This role ensures proper product handling, storage, and warehouse organization while upholding safety standards and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The associate supports daily warehouse operations, including order picking, loading/unloading shipments, and maintaining productivity, quality, and customer service standards. The position requires a self-motivated team player who can work independently, assist with special projects, follow established procedures, and be flexible to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist inventory analyst with investigating inventory count discrepancies.
- Maintain necessary documentation (i.e., logs, etc.)
- Manage product handling and storing to best facilitate counting.
- Maintain warehouse areas i.e., cleanliness, organization and flow, safety, etc.
- Perform order picking as scheduled or assigned.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse, including proper organization and maintenance.
- Ensure productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met.
- Assist with loading and unloading daily scheduled shipments.
- Ensure proper implementation and follow through on processes and procedures.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Abide by all safety regulations set forth by OSHA and Facilities.
- Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate willingness to work overtime as required. Available for evening and weekend hours work schedules if needed to fulfill customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced forklift and electric pallet jack operator.
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy.
- Strong organization and prioritization.
- Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles and/or box truck is a plus.
- 2 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
Medium - Exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to stand for a long period of time as well as raise and move up to 50 pounds unassisted and maneuver drums weighing approximately 440 pounds.
- Must be able work in refrigerated conditions [33-38 degrees], and work in environment with exposure to loud machinery, when necessary.
