Persons in this position are expected to: perform under the direct supervision of commission counsel those duties assigned by the chief counsel, assistant chief counsel, regional counsel, or designated section supervisor, which may be performed prior to admission to the Missouri Bar.
A day in the life:
- Researches legal issues and drafts legal memos/opinions/issue papers.
- Assists with litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
- Drafts legal documents such as contracts, legislation, administrative rules, and the like.
- Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
What you'll need for success:
- Must have completed a bachelor's degree and be presently enrolled in law school.
- Must possess, and maintain, an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher out of 4.0.
