Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and perform general maintenance and repair of:
- Structural and building fabric
- Electrical (high and low voltage, single phase, and three phase)
- Plumbing (leaks, clogs, faucets, toilets, drains)
- Perform first-level quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Complete and document work orders and preventive maintenance tasks using the Redzone Reliability Module
- Advise the Maintenance Manager of identified issues and improvement opportunities
- Assist with minor construction projects and facility upgrades
- Conduct audits related to preventative maintenance
- Monitor and respond to building safety and security concerns
- Coordinate and oversee on-site vendors and contractors
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and issues
- Organize storage of materials, tools, and equipment
- Manage and order maintenance inventory and supplies
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, OSHA standards, MIOSHA regulations, and local building codes
Education / Certificates / Licenses / Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Drivers License
- 3-5 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience required
- EPA certification, HVAC/R experience preferred
- Welding experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot high, low, and control voltage systems
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficiency using an iPad and email systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective time management and task prioritization
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitary design preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA regulations preferred
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed

Working Environment
This position is located in a production/processing environment, which may involve:
- Cold temperatures ranging from 45°F with occasional exposure to freezer environments as low as -10°F
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Standing and working on concrete floors for extended periods
- Fast-paced, physically demanding tasks in a team-oriented setting
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols
