Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in compliance with state health codes
- Create and maintain a beautiful dining room atmosphere
- Have an understanding of food service sufficient to maintain Academy University Hill’s standard of excellence
- Assist with special events, banquet service, meetings, and daily as needed
General Responsibilities
- Ensure that Resident rights are respected at all times, especially in matters of confidentiality
- Maintain confidentiality of Resident records and information
- Understand and follow the Residents’ Bill of Rights
- Honor the dignity and privacy of the Residents
- Effectively communicate and/or document any information regarding the Residents, according to procedures explained by your supervisor
- Understand and follow security and emergency procedures at all times
- Maintain good relationships with Residents, Owners, and staff
- Relate to Residents and staff in a courteous, friendly, and diplomatic manner
- Create and maintain a safe workplace. Report unsafe areas or situations to the appropriate director
- Model congruence with “Safety” and “Standards of Conduct” portions of the Employee Handbook at all times
- Display honesty and integrity
- Participate in job-related training
- Attend scheduled meetings with supervisor

Physical Requirements
The work environment described here is representative of what an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of the job. Position requires walking, climbing stairs, bending, squatting, and pushing a wheelchair containing a 150 lb. Resident as necessary. Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. may be required.
