About the role:
The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting operations by performing routine clerical and financial tasks, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation of company transactions.
What you'll do:
- Process invoices, receipts, and vendor payments accurately and on time.
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Maintain filing systems for invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
What we are looking for:
- To effectively perform the duties for this position, individuals must be able to demonstrate competencies that are essential to the position, which include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Experience in construction, subcontractor-heavy, or project-based industries is a plus.
