CUSTODIAL JANITORIAL CLEANER AUTO DEALERSHIP FULL TIME at NYE AUTO, ONEIDA, NY – Oneida, New York

Custodial - FULL TIME

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning the dealership as required. Vacuum, mop, and clean floors. Shampoo carpets, remove debris, empty trash receptacles, and replace the linings of trash cans. Ensure customer service areas are kept neat, clean, and tidy at all times.

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly

Pay: $16 - $18 per hour

Schedule:

Full-Time hours are 4 am - 1 pm or 5 am - 2 pm

Note: The hours may vary according to the needs of the business

Workweek: Monday through Friday

Work Location: In person, Nye Oneida Locations (& Rome as needed)

Primary responsibilities may include the following:

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect all areas of the dealership
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Steam-clean carpets.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Mix various cleaning agents.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Move furniture.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Use and comply with all safety rules in all aspects of the position
• Ability to take direction from the Department Manager
• Ability to follow instructions and be detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Must have a flexible schedule
• Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
• An applicant must pass a drug test.
• Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and be authorized to work in the U.S.
