About This Position

Senior Strategic Finance Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst in the United States.

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic financial insights and influence business decisions across a fast-growing organization. You will develop advanced financial models, own key KPIs, and provide analysis that directly informs planning, forecasting, and operational efficiency. Working closely with senior leaders, you will translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations, helping shape the company’s revenue strategy and growth initiatives. This position combines hands-on analytical work with cross-functional collaboration, giving you visibility into multiple business areas. You will operate in a dynamic, fully remote environment where innovation, ownership, and data-driven decision-making are highly valued.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Strategic Finance Analyst will own and deliver critical financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making:

  • Build driver-based financial models and scenario analyses to support annual planning, forecasting, and long-term strategy.
  • Maintain and optimize the financial planning infrastructure, ensuring models are accurate, well-documented, and connected to reliable data sources.
  • Serve as a finance partner for expense management, helping leaders track spend versus plan and identify risks or opportunities.
  • Analyze performance across business functions and prepare executive-ready reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
  • Automate KPI reporting using tools such as Equals, Google Sheets, or BI platforms to increase leadership visibility and reduce manual work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Engineering, Analytics, and Finance teams to define metrics, build business cases, and evaluate strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support growth and efficiency projects and continuously improve financial workflows and tooling.
Requirements:

Candidates should bring a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and SaaS business knowledge:

  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related finance roles.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Hands-on experience with financial planning platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights.
  • Experience managing budgets, expense tracking, and financial reporting for business functions or departments.
  • Knowledge of SaaS and GTM metrics, including ARR, NRR, bookings vs. revenue, churn, and funnel conversion.
  • Familiarity with operational data sources such as Salesforce, Looker, or NetSuite; SQL skills are a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a curiosity-driven and ownership mindset.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, improving processes, and leveraging technology or AI tools to enhance workflows.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ($100,000–$115,000+) with performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Fully remote work with flexible arrangements and home office support (stipend, internet, phone reimbursement).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions and equity opportunities.
  • Generous PTO, sick days, mental health days, and paid parental leave.
  • Access to professional development and learning platforms (Coursera, O’Reilly), workshops, and mentorship.
  • Wellness stipends, Headspace subscription, and employee assistance programs.
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and customer-first culture with transparent pathways for growth.
