About This Position
KeenLogic is seeking experienced Instructional Analysts/Developers to join our team in support of training initiatives at Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure.
Instructional Analysts/Developers will support training initiatives by applying the ADDIE methodology (Analysis, Design, Development) to assess, design, and develop training programs for operations and engineering teams. Responsibilities include conducting task analysis to identify training needs, developing learning objectives, and creating or revising training materials for classroom, computer-based, and on-the-job training environments.
Resources may be aligned to Operations, Engineering, or general training assignments, including performing DIF surveys, defining required knowledge and skills, and developing systems training for facility operations. The role also supports emergent training needs as directed by Training Management and requires regular tracking and reporting of assignment progress.
The primary work location is in Richland, WA. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting the Hanford site, which operates on a standard schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or technical discipline is preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in training, education, or specialized industries, will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an instructional analyst/developer within the nuclear industry.
- Demonstrated experience with application of the ADDIE model, or similar instructional system design, specifically for developing courses for operations, maintenance, and technical support staff positions and personnel.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a nuclear operations or high hazard industrial setting preferably in operations.
- Hanford experience.
- Task 1 – Operations
- Perform DIF surveys to determine the necessity for training applicable to the assigned tasks
- For those tasks determined to require training, identify the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the task
- Design relevant knowledge and skill objectives for the tasks
- Develop appropriate training content for the classroom, computer or OJT
- Task 2 – Engineering
- Evaluate existing systems training needs for the Engineering organization
- Develop appropriate and relevant systems training (classroom or computer based) for but not limited to the following facilities: TSCR, ETF and the Evaporator
- Task 3 – General Training
- Support any emergent assignment aligned with job, task or procedural analysis leading to the design and or development of training Analysts and developers performing work on this scope shall, for each element of the tasks listed above
- Complete a provided spreadsheet of assignments and their status on a monthly basis.
