Transportation Driver at Hillcroft Services Inc – Muncie, Indiana

We are seeking a responsible and caring driver to join our team working approximately 22 hours per week in a temporary position. While this position is currently temporary there is potential for transition into a permanent role depending on business needs and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing transportation services and a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely transport clients to and from various destinations, including home, social activities, and other essential services.
2. Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
3. Operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems as needed.
4. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
5. Follow all traffic laws and company policies.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and dispatchers.
7. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all clients.

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
2. Experience in driving and assisting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
3. Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems.
4. Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop as necessary to the environment and have the ability to lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
7. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
